HXY-11 THC
11-Hydroxy-THC is a metabolite of THC, the main psychoactive compound in cannabis. When THC is consumed, it gets converted into 11-Hydroxy-THC in the liver. This metabolite is potent and has psychoactive effects similar to THC, potentially even stronger. It plays a significant role in the different experiences and durations of the effects between smoking cannabis and consuming edibles. When cannabis is smoked, THC reaches the brain quickly, resulting in a fast-acting but shorter high. In contrast, when cannabis is ingested, THC is converted to 11-Hydroxy-THC, which takes longer to reach peak levels but can produce a more intense and longer-lasting high.
